Sales were down 19 per cent and active listings were up 56.4 per cent compared to a year ago
The average price for a home in Peel Region was $1.08 million in June 2024, according to the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board. That’s up 0.6 per cent or $6,148 from May 2024 but down 5.9 per cent or $67,887 compared to June 2023.
There were 1,120 home sales after an average of 21 days on the market and 4,159 active listings at the end of June. Sales were down 19 per cent and active listings were up 56.4 per cent compared to a year ago.
Detached houses (?) averaged $1.36 million, down 0.1 per cent or $2,005 month-over-month and down 7.4 per cent or $108,771 year-over-year. There were 545 detached house sales after an average of 22 days on the market and 2,054 active listings at the end of the month.
Semi-detached houses (?) averaged $970,847, down 0.1 per cent or $1,432 month-over-month and down 8.4 per cent or $89,135 year-over-year. There were 178 semi-detached house sales after an average of 16 days on the market and 377 active listings at the end of the month.
Attached houses (?) averaged $891,038, down 2.5 per cent or $22,997 month-over-month and down 6.9 per cent or $65,528 year-over-year. There were 92 attached house sales after an average of 16 days on the market and 317 active listings at the end of the month.
Townhouse-style condos (?) averaged $777,656, down 1.2 per cent or $9,368 month-over-month and down 5.9 per cent or $48,674 year-over-year. There were 134 townhouse-style condo sales after an average of 22 days on the market and 495 active listings at the end of the month.
Apartment-style condos (?) averaged $612,069, down 2.9 per cent or $18,035 month-over-month and down 3.2 per cent or $20,291 year-over-year. There were 167 apartment-style condo sales after an average of 29 days on the market and 901 active listings at the end of the month.
Compared to June 2014, the average sale price for all houses and condos in Peel Region has increased 120.6 per cent, including a $740,593 gain for detached houses, a $521,174 gain for semi-detached houses, a $482,973 gain for attached houses, a $417,853 gain for townhouse-style condos and a $343,265 gain for apartment-style condos.
